The American Alliance of Museums (AAM) is celebrating its annual campaign with a virtual event through March 1st. Since its creation more than a decade ago, Museums Advocacy Day has aimed to promote support for the museum industry.
Last year, AAM says Museums Advocacy Day generated more than 62,000 messages to Congress and more than 400 meetings at local legislative offices. They expect this year’s event to be a similar success.
As part of the campaign, participants were encouraged to reach out to representatives and participate in various webinars throughout February. AAM says the grassroots effort is fundamental in driving assistance to the industry amid the evolving landscape and challenging times.
