The Dr. Sarah Jandrucko Academy for Early Learners is an innovative school for preschool children that takes learning beyond the traditional classroom through creative interactive experiences in an exploratory, engaging environment.
Exhibit Concepts was selected to design, fabricate and install sixteen distinctive learning spaces, each designed around a central theme such as: Space, Dinosaurs, and Community. Each room utilizes hands-on learning through play to develop reading, language and numeric skills and inspire children to explore and learn.
When the Dr. Sarah Jandruko Academy for Early Learners in Mansfield, Texas first opened its doors and students began to fill the rooms, we asked teachers, administrators, and stakeholders what we thought would be a simple question:
“What’s your favorite room?”
As it turns out, that’s a complicated question, difficult for them to answer. We heard some teachers say they had two favorite rooms. Others said that asking them to choose a favorite room was like asking them to choose a favorite child.
Others reported that their “favorite” depended on the day or even their personal experience. One thing is certain: every room in the building is sure to be a favorite for teachers and students alike. Here’s a fun look at the staff’s favorite room (or three)!
