‘USA Today 10Best’ Highlights Exhibit Concepts’ Projects

Exhibit Concepts is proud to be kicking off 2025 in the national spotlight. Two long-time clients have been recognized in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for the best history museums in the United States. The recognition, determined by popular vote and expert recommendations, highlights the dedication of these institutions in preserving and sharing regional, national, and world history.

Among the honorees, the National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg, Texas, ranked sixth, and the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum in Jackson, Mississippi, placed ninth.

National Museum of the Pacific War

Exhibit Concepts has had the privilege of partnering with the National Museum of the Pacific War for over a decade. Our collaboration began with the renovation of the George H.W. Bush Gallery, marking the start of a valued relationship that has continued through multiple projects. From the Admiral Nimitz Gallery to the most recent, Children on the Homefront, we are proud to support the museum’s mission.

"The National Museum of the Pacific War is located in Fredericksburg, Texas — the hometown of Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, the commander in chief of the U.S. Pacific Fleet during World War II. Through immersive and interactive exhibits, the museum offers a comprehensive and in-depth exploration of the Pacific theater during World War II and pays tribute to the sacrifices made by servicemen and women from various nations."

Mississippi Civil Rights Museum

The Mississippi Civil Rights Museum stands as a powerful tribute to the stories of resilience and change that shaped the Civil Rights Movement. Through immersive exhibits, compelling storytelling, and thought-provoking artifacts, the museum fosters a deeper understanding of a critical chapter in history. Completed by Exhibit Concepts in 2017, this project remains a meaningful part of our Exhibit Concepts portfolio and a reflection of our commitment to impactful storytelling and careful craftsmanship.

"The Mississippi Civil Rights Museum provides an interactive and engaging presentation of the Civil Rights Movement in Mississippi. Through exhibits and programs, the museum seeks to educate and encourage reflection on the bravery and resilience of civil rights activists, acknowledging the sacrifices they made and their pivotal role in challenging systemic racism and striving for equality."

The top three spots in this year’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards were awarded to the Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, followed by the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center and Cincinnati History Museum, both in Cincinnati, Ohio.

We are grateful to collaborate with institutions that bring history to life and are truly honored to see our partners again receive this national recognition.
