Exhibit Concepts is adding to its portfolio of award-winning projects!
The National Museum of the Pacific War was recognized earlier this month at the Texas Association of Museums’ annual conference in Lubbock. ‘Children on the Homefront: Growing Up with War’ was awarded TAM’s Media Innovation and Excellence Gold Award for In-Museum Experiences. The award highlights museums across Texas that show innovation through media and technology. Additional categories include Social Media Campaigns and Virtual Experiences. The Gold Award is the highest award presented by the Texas Association of Museums.
The children’s gallery, which was designed by D|G Studios and fabricated by Exhibit Concepts, was completed in 2023 at the nationally recognized museum in Fredericksburg, Texas. Boston Productions and Bowen Technovation also partnered on the project.
The 650-square-foot permanent gallery offers visitors a look at World War II through the eyes of America’s youngest populations. Featuring an immersive environment showcasing three interactive storytelling vignettes from three different perspectives, the gallery examines life in rural Texas, urban Chicago, and an internment camp in Wyoming.
This is not the first time that the National Museum of the Pacific War has been recognized this year for its work. It was also named to USA Today’s ‘10Best Readers’ Choice Awards‘ as one of the best history museums in the United States.
Exhibit Concepts is proud to have a long-standing partnership with the museum and the Admiral Nimitz Foundation. Exhibit Concepts has helped produce several galleries for the institution dating back to 2009.
We would love to connect with you on your next project. We pride ourselves on producing unforgettable experiences through our commitment to partnership and our industry expertise.
