This “Faces of ECI” profile focuses on Vice President of Sales and Account Management Masten Worley, who has been with Exhibit Concepts since 2018. He oversees teams from all lines of business, including trade show and permanent environments. From selling shoes to being a barber, Masten is opening up in our latest “Faces of ECI” profile.

When did your career at Exhibit Concepts begin?

My career at Exhibit Concepts started in September of 2018.

Explain your role.

I am responsible for all things sales and customer relations.

How did you get into sales?

After college, I had really never had a job, because I was an athlete. I played a lot of sports. I thought it would be really cool to sell shoes, because I love sneakers. So, I took a job as the general manager of a Finish Line store and that was my very first sales job.

What do you like most about Exhibit Concepts?

I like the people the most. I love the people that I work with on a pretty regular basis, they’re great to travel with, they’re great to work with, and they’re great to generally hang out with.

Describe your most impactful client moment.

I think the project that I’m most proud of is the work that we did with Purina. Landing that account and then just working with them to give them the experience that they want to provide their clients and potential clients at shows was great.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE...

Favorite food?

My favorite food is pizza.

Favorite band or musician?

There are so many good bands and musicians out there. My favorite right now is Darius Rucker.

Favorite TV show?

There’s a lot of great TV shows out there, too. The one that comes to mind is Entourage.

Favorite movie?

I am a Star Wars guy, but I’ll have to say my favorite movie is Remember the Titans.

Favorite author or book?

A lot of good ones out there, too, with authors and books, the book that I’ve read the most is The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

What are your secret talents?

I am a licensed barber. I’ve always cut my own hair. Starting in high school, my buddies and I would do crazy stuff, like designs and experimenting. At some point, I thought, you know what, it would be fun to be a barber. So, one summer, I got licensed as a barber. I probably have a secret desire to own a barber shop where guys come and hang out with big screen TVs, sports, good conversation, and all that good stuff.

What is your ideal place to live?

Some place warm, but not hot, where it rains rarely, so I guess it would be San Diego.

What is a superpower you wish you had?

I’d have to say teleporting. There are so many places I would like to visit, but there is only so much time. It would be great to just be able to blink my eyes and be wherever I needed to be.

What charitable cause is most important to you?

I have a few causes that I like, but the one I’ve donated to or contributed to the longest is the United Negro College Fund.

Who would you want to have dinner with? Past or present.

Probably Malcolm X. He is the most transformed person I’ve ever known or read about. You know, taking your life from where it starts to where it ends, I would love to pick his brain.
